Hello! My name is Mel, and I am a designer. I like to find stuff, make stuff, think about stuff and show stuff.

During the day, I play Art Director at Bullet Creative, a design studio based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We work with many interesting clients and have been lucky enough to work on some amazing projects over the last couple of years since launching the studio in Sydney 2010, from new brands, online shopping carts & websites, letterpress stationery and lots more. We are based right in the heart of Surry Hills so are lucky enough to have endless choice of great bars and restaurants right on our door step.

In my spare time, I play with my iPad (my fave place for Twitter) or my Macbook Pro (if more serious mousing is required!), tapping away at my new blog, expanding my {nushka dolls} brand or researching new ideas for fun things. If I’m not at an Apple-based product, you might find me doing a cross stitch, reading the latest Monocle magazine, attempting to learn how to sew, cooking something yummy, testing out some new watercolours, buying something at an art shop, watching BBC, ABC or SBS, walking the dog, or I’ll be at at one of our favourite cafés seeking the best coffee and eggs in town (i.e.; BangBang).

People who know me well, will also know I have a strange fascination with accounts and organisation – I love the structure and regiment that doing your accounts can bring (like a good trip to a stationery store or that feeling of satisfaction when you’ve done ALL your invoicing!). A new shelving unit?! Yes please! I have a very big soft spot for Streamtime and MYOB, which I have been using for many years and couldn’t live without.
